Learn, Create, Engage is a project that helps develop competence and strengthen people who work within the cultural and creative businesses in Skåne, by offering free courses and much more. Funded by the European Social Fund.
The project promotes lifelong learning by fostering competence development to enhance entrepreneurship, digital competence, and adaptability within Skåne’s cultural and creative sectors. By combining technical expertise with entrepreneurial thinking, the initiative supports an adaptive mindset to meet the demands of a changing job market and rapid digital transformation. Additionally, by driving sectoral change, the project creates opportunities for new collaborations and business ventures.
The project targets all cultural and creative industries in Skåne, including small and medium-sized enterprises, public cultural institutions, and associations. Participants represent sectors such as: Architecture, Design, Film, Photography, Visual Arts, Fashion, Literature, Music, Performing Arts, Games and Media.
The initiative is built around four key areas:
The tailored classes and courses are free of charge and developed through dialogue with industry organisations, cultural hubs, and other stakeholders. They focus on equipping participants with new knowledge in digital tools and sustainable transitions within creative entrepreneurship. Sessions are held at Media Evolution, in collaboration with other regional skills development actors, or online.
This 6 months long course for cultural institutions fosters a deeper understanding of audience engagement and program development. In the long term, it acts as a structural transformation for the cultural and creative industries.
Led by Niels Righolt from The Danish Centre for Arts & Interculture, participants include leaders, producers, and communicators from the public and private sectors.
The peer learning program is a partially facilitated mentorship process for creators that already use AI in their work and want to develop new ways of using AI tools through joint learning, so-called Peer Learning. By learning from each other's experiences and working methods, the participants are offered new ways to deepen their creative processes, and strengthen their network with others who use AI tools within Skåne's creative and cultural industries.
The course consists of three meetings; one physical and two digital. The sessions are workshop-based with a strong focus on the participants' interactivity and commitment.
Lectures and seminars are held continuously to engage target groups and stakeholders. For example, the upcoming Widen your vision, clarify your brand on March 20 and the previous seminar AI & Creativity from November 2024.
