To develop and deepen the community's expertise beyond inspiration, we organise training sessions on topics drawn from our agendas and the needs of our community. Depending on the nature of the subject, the classes/courses can last from a few hours to several days and can be both theoretical and practical.
Currently we facilitate this in the project Learn, Create, Engage together with Region Skåne, funded by the European Social Fund.
We offer classes and courses like:

To help deepen and develop a company's needs within competence development, we offer a tool called Mind the Gap. Many small and medium-sized companies find it difficult to find the right skills to grow and develop. The Mind the Gap tool helps you take on your skills supply in a strategic and structured way, so that you have better conditions to sustainably succeed with your growth plans. Mind the Gap is a tool created by Region Skåne together with IUC Syd, and we offer workshops for companies to use it.

Every year in August we host our conference, The Conference. A two-day gathering in Malmö. A thousand curious minds from all over the world meet to delve into the promises and pitfalls of human-machine-nature-and-more relationships. Guided by weavers, builders, visionaries, caregivers, and creative leaders from across disciplines, we sift through complexity and make connections across our analog and digital worlds.

We work to document and convey knowledge generated in our foresight cycles in an asynchronous and distributable way. As an end, and sometimes also an introduction, we invite to seminars where both participants and invited experts share their knowledge. We document the presentations and publish them on our site and other digital platforms.
To complement the seminars and conference, we also invite lecturers who are given an individual opportunity to share their experiences. These lectures are given together with other actors for whom the content is relevant, with a particular focus on digitization and green transition.
In our work on Collaborative Foresight, we invite people and organisations to explore the futures of impactful topics, including creative expression, work, sustainability, urban environments and wellbeing. Together, we identify ways to prepare for the unknown and uncover ways to bring about desirable futures.
What happens when artificial intelligence becomes a natural part of creative processes? What can nature teach us about the technological systems we develop and govern? How can we reflect on the value of work in futures affected by climate disruption? Who decides how to define and design a healthy, sustainable and mobile life experience?

Collaborative Foresight for teams is a four-step process for teams to use Collaborative Foresight to uncover possible, desirable and unknown futures for a focus of their choice. During the half-day workshop, the participating team imagines and reflects on the impact of multiple developments, visions and uncertainties related to their work.
The process helps the team to reveal new perspectives and opportunities and to align on how to work with the future going forward. Furthermore it helps the team to create a shared language around the future and builds their competencies in foresight and futures thinking.
